About Us

Community Empowerment Initiatives
Faith, Hope and Love Community Outreach Center is dedicated to uplifting lives through education, support, and resources. We strive to foster a compassionate community where everyone can thrive.
Our Foundation Scripture
Faith, Hope and Love Community Outreach Center was inspired by the timeless truth found in Scripture:
“And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”
— 1 Corinthians 13:13
This verse serves as the heart of our mission to uplift, educate, encourage, and strengthen communities through compassion and service.
Our History
Faith, Hope and Love Community Outreach Center was established in February 2012 as a youth organization dedicated to empowering and developing the next generation through education, mentorship, leadership, and community outreach. Founded with a vision to uplift underserved youth and families within the Ward 8 community of Washington, D.C., FHL was created to provide students with the support, guidance, and resources needed to succeed academically, socially, and personally. Built upon the biblical principles found in 1 Corinthians 13:13 — “And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” — the organization was founded on the belief that every child deserves opportunity, encouragement, and access to resources that inspire growth and success. Since its founding, Faith, Hope and Love Community Outreach Center has remained committed to strengthening communities through:
-
Academic tutoring and educational support
-
Youth mentorship and leadership development
-
College and workforce readiness initiatives
-
Financial literacy and life skills education
-
Community outreach and family support services
-
School supply and resource assistance programs
Through compassion, service, and advocacy, FHL continues to impact the lives of youth and families by creating pathways toward confidence, purpose, and long-term success.
